Dear Jerry,

I want to express my appreciation for the fine job which Sexton Construction Corporation has done for us on the recently completed $1,500,000 Southern Champion Tray Company Headquarters Building here in Chattanooga. As with all the other jobs our firms have worked on together in the past you have been very well organized, your communications are good, and you have managed the job in a way that produced quality work in an efficient manner. We are quite proud of the building we produced together for a very satisfied client.

We also appreciate the spirit of cooperation you and your staff have always exhibited to us and to the Owner. We look forward to finding many opportunities to work together on building projects in the future.

To Whom It May Concern:

Sexton Construction was the low bidder on a recently proposed construction project that Roadtec has since undertaken. Sexton Construction was ultimately selected from Roadtec’s choice of bidders not only because they were the low bidder but because of their keen ability to listen to our requests and make additional suggestions during the bidding process that would be helpful to us in the future.

Since the initiation of Roadtec’s addition, Sexton Construction has more than met our expectations. Sexton Construction has put forth an extra effort to get the lowest bids from subcontractors and even allowed us to participate in the selection of these subcontractors. They have also done an excellent job of communicating directly and regularly with our Maintenance Manager, Mark Ezell, and me throughout the construction process.

Roadtec has limited parking and room not only for the construction activity but for the materials needed for the construction project. Sexton Construction has been very considerate of our space constraints by being extremely neat and organized every step of the way.

Last but not least, I have been very pleased with the caliber of employees Sexton Construction has on site. They have outstanding supervisors as well as staff. Based on my personal experience with Sexton Construction, I would highly recommend them for your construction project.

Dear Jerry and Brendan:

I was getting ready to thank you for the awesome photograph when the check came. You are so kind, and I appreciate your kind words. Sometimes my passion gets me carried away and this was probably one of those times. I hope it wasn’t too much.

We are having ongoing discussions about the best place to hang our picture, but it will be hanging this week, and it is very special to us. The check will go into our purchase account, as we are between major food drives and having to fill some gaps to meet some of our program needs.

It was truly a pleasure to work with all of you, and I have heard that from so many groups who have built projects with you. Brendan was always so accomodating, and Rodney is truly a special person.
Thanks again for both the photo and the gift. Please come by anytime. This building belongs to you also.

Southern-Champion.png

Dear Jerry,

As we near the completion of our 5th major construction project with Sexton, I would be remiss if I failed to thank you on behalf of all of us at Southern Champion who are enjoying the new facilities.  You have proven yourself an excellent communicator in keeping us informed of the details and decisions that had to be made as the job progressed.  Ron and Rodney, your super intendants on our jobs, have both done excellent work from beginning to end and are excellent on details.  Sonya has been good to work with on the accounting detail and represents your firm well.

We have had so many compliments on the offices and manufacturing plant that it confirms the value of extensive planning that went into both projects.  It has been our pleasure to deal with you because you have lived up to your reputation of being honest and dealing with integrity in completing nearly $6 million worth of construction projects for Southern Champion.  We look forward to working with you in the future.

Go Hokies!

Dear Jerry:

It has been the privilege of Travelers Casualty and Surety Company of America (“Travelers”) to provide surety bonds for Sexton Construction for over ten years. While we have not established a maximum bonding program for your firm, we will favorably consider support on a $5 million single job with an aggregate work program of $7 million.

The decision to issue performance and payment bonds is a matter between Sexton Construction and Travelers, and will be subject to our standard underwriting at the time of any final bond request, which will include but not be limited too the acceptability of the contract documents, bond forms and financing.

We value our relationship with you and have the utmost confidence in your organization. If you have any questions or need and additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

McKees-Food-Corporation.png

Dear Jerry,

I’d like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to you and your company for a job well done on the recently completed mechanical room at the Plant 5 facility. This portion of the overall project came in ahead of schedule and provided the opportunity for the production line to start up as scheduled.

The quality of workmanship and on-site management was appreciated and contributed to it’s success. Chris Greene was an excellent superintendent and kept things going. He also worked very well with the equipment integration and respective Company engineering and plant personnel. I consider these to be very important qualities. Construction requirements in a food facility are sometimes difficult to implement, but you all were able to do it with no difficulty.

There were also many positive comments regarding the design documents. Brian Tune, Oliver-Rhoads and ABW Engineering provided excellent drawings that were accurate and easy to interpret. Many thanks to them also for their willingness to answer questions, make changes and provide revisions as required. Their handling of the problem with the bowing of the precast wall panels is a good example of this.

Once again, thank you for a job well done. In the future when building needs are determined, Sexton Construction will definitely be considered.
